eBay deletes store items from search results
After bragging it had improved visibility of eBay store items by including them in auction search results, eBay abruptly deleted store listings from search results last night. The reason? Lots of store items were turning up in search results -- just what eBay had promised.
This does not bode well for booksellers depending on their eBay stores to move fixed-price book listings at low fee. eBay may be trying to discourage booksellers from opting out of its Express platform set to launch in the coming weeks.

Well, that figures. I finally went ahead and opened a store over the weekend. Perfect timing. I noticed, at least, that store listings still appear at the top of the page in regular searches, when there are no auctions our BIN items. So at least they retained that benefit. For now. --Anita
When ebay included stores in general search, I saw a 40% profit increase.
Since they have removed stores from general search, I closed my store last night.
If you check the stores discussion boards on ebay, you will see that many more have, or are threatening to do the same!
