Amazon tests new "leave seller feedback" page
Amazon is testing a new "leave seller feedback" page, according to this announcement.
Usually when Amazon posts an announcement like this, there's also an accompanying image of the new page being planned or tested. Not this time. Hmmm.
It seems I'm seeing the change in my buying account already. The thing I notice most is that the "seller's comments" are reproduced on the feedback page. That's a good thing, I guess. Also, when you run your mouse over the empty stars, a guide pops up telling you that 5 stars is "excellent," one is "awful," etc. Here's what I see when I click "leave seller feedback" link on my most recent Marketplace order. Anyone else?:

Well, I haven't seen it yet, and will take a look...but the one thing I think this may help to deter is buyers leaving "1" when they mean to leave a "5". I've seen sellers I know receive a 1 for "excellent service" because the buyer misunderstands the meaning of the number ranks.
Great, I have already heard from two customers today who struggled with the new "improved" feedback page, only to give up in total frustration without being able to leave feedback for me. According to both of them, it simply does not work and they sound like seasoned buyers. One actually mentions that he has been leaving feedback for over 5 years. That's just great, I missed out on 2 great feedbacks today. Thank you Amazon!!!!
I used the new feedback. That is a really bad design - having to move your cursor over the stars - select by hovering. That is too precise of a muscle movement and mouse movement. The selecting process needs to be sturdy like a check box. I think a lot of people will have a hard time with this.
Is this blog dead...no movement in more than a month now...sad..come on, Mr. Weber, we trust in you!!!!
Hoping that everything is okay since no recent posts. We do look forward to and read this blog!
