Jeff Rivera is a journalist and TV personality who also writes fiction targeted at young adults. His most recent YA work, Forever My Lady, which tops today’s Buffet, is a bestselling novel about a Latino juvenile delinquent who transforms his life in prison to win back the love of the girl he lost.
Jeff was inspired to write the story when, after a period of homelessness, he met a former gang member who turned his life around. Jeff launched his writing career by self-publishing the book and selling 8,000 copies before it was picked up by Warner Books (now known as Grand Central Publishing) in 2005. This week, Forever My Lady was the most popular teen romance book on Amazon.com.
Recently Jeff, a native of Salt Lake City, expanded into children’s books with last year’s popular Um … Mommy, I Think I Flushed My Brother Down The Toilet and its sequel published in January. Jeff has already developed several more children’s book ideas, and expects to publish them in the near future.
