Sarah Mayberry grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and discovered romance novels through both her grandmothers. On her mother’s side, it was old hardcover romances from the 1960s, while her father’s mother provided access to the spicier novels from Mills & Boons, the U.K. publisher of Harlequin romance novels.
Sarah earned a college degree in writing, then tried her hand at writing Regency romances, then contemporary romance, without success. After several years of working in journalism and script-writing for TV soaps in Australia, she hit her stride writing modern romance stories for Harlequin. “It’s happy, it’s sexy, it’s what I like to read,” Sarah explains.
Sarah tops today’s Buffet with her latest novel, The Other Side of Us, which made its simultaneous debut in paperback and on Kindle just two weeks ago.
